Here's a list of things that all people can do to when faced with bullying:
Tell a person who bullies to leave you or other alone (assert yourself in any way you can!)
Use any system your school offers for reporting bullying.
Try to avoid bullying situations.
Make friends. (being alone makes you an easier target)
Avoid Unsupervised Areas.
Here's a list of things that teens can do to help their school in preventing bullying, violence and harassment:
Get Involved in Your School!
Student Council
Join an Advisory Committee or Student Faculty Forum
Get People Thinking!
Make posters with motivational quotes and get permission to put them up in school
write an article about the different forms of violence you've seen in your school and submit it to the school paper
add positive statements to the morning announcements
ask the counselor to form a support group for people people who have been targets of bullying
encourage the drama instructor to do a short play about violence
encourage your school to offer parenting classes
Start a Peer Mediator Program
Become a Peer Mediator
Find a School Advocate (someone you can count on for support)
